Ibrahim Haqqi Muhammad

  

Ibrahim Haqqi Muhammad (إبراهيم حقي محمد), (1910 - 1970) was an poet, story writer, playwright.

He was born in Baghdad, and his family's origins go back to the Rawanduz area in the Erbil governorate, in south of kurdistan, and he grew up there and lived most of his life there and held several jobs. I.Haqqi began his literary career as a playwright, then turned to the short story, and ended up with poetry. 

He organized in the Iraqi colloquial dialect:Mawal, and devised a method in Mawal that he called Nisf Zuhairi. Described as having thin hair and feeling. He died in Baghdad.

 He published some of his works through local newspapers.Haqqi worked as an employee in the Iraqi Stores Company in Bab al-Moadham and was a member of the Union of Iraqi Authors and Writers.

He wrote other plays that were not shown or printed. He has a collection of poetry and a collection of political poems entitled Orientals, and the fate of the two collections is not known.
