Safa Akram al-Haydari,(صفاء الحيدري) was an Iraqi poet and writer and journalist. He was the younger brother of Buland Al-Haydari who was influenced by him. He was one of the pioneers of modernist poetry in the style of romanticism in his time.Father, was an army man.He grew up in Baghdad and studied. He worked as a director in the Ministry of Agriculture and then in the Ministry of Agrarian Reform. He was also active in journalism. In 1945, the literary magazine "Al-Aqbas" and then the newspaper "Al-Asda" then the newspaper "Hamachiz" and then the political newspaper,He published "Iraq Echo".He was a member of the Writers' Association.He started publishing his poems in the early forties of the 20th century and published eight books of poetry.He also wrote a number of stories. He died in 1992 at the age of 71 in Baghdad.
